Philosophy
"What you think I am...I become."
Children will either live up to or down to the expectations we set for them. This statement truly captures the essence of what Raising Expectations is all about. For far too long children that live in certain communities have been neglected and told of how little they can accomplish in life simply because of circumstances outside of their control. By creating an atmosphere of support, encouragement and broadened life experiences, we are preparing children who have heavy odds stacked against for success. We do this by offering a wide range of programming that addresses the social, academic and mental needs of children and youth. Furthermore, we believe that change happens over time and in order to help children prepare for success we must begin working with them at young ages and continue those relationships until the completion of their academic careers.
